Wow, Luke and Joy had a busy day today! Mommy’s been sick but woke up this morning feeling much better. That meant she had to get crackin’ on her presentation for Monday’s BIG meeting with a BIG client! So daddy took Luke and Joy to breakfast at Shipyard Galley and then off we went to Parlow Farms to see farmer Rockwell and pick up our veggies. We took a little spin around Marion and stopped briefly at daddy’s friends, the Barry’s. A little wiffle ball in Shipyard Park, followed by a nap and we were ready to go to Family Fun Day at the Casino where we ran into all kinds of friends including Brendan and May Kate. There was a Nemo water slide, which Luke enjoyed and Joy didn’t, and lots of other fun games.

The kid band Blackout pleased the crowd with a couple of sets.

Tonite, Secret played in the gazebo and Luke “stayed up later” with daddy, 9:00 pm , the end of the concert. It was a cool, crystal clear night and Daddy and Luke scouted the sky for falling stars. Daddy also taught Luke about the Big Dipper and how to find the North Star.

All in all, today was a great adventure!

Luke met a new friend and they played soccer with Seth and Joy. Luke also asked the conductor to play Grand Old Flag and he said that he will next week. We’ll see.

Race to the Finish Line

Luke and Joy braved the rain to ride their trikes in the Pan Massachusetts Challenge. https://kids.pmc.org/kids2006/Default.asp. This event raised money for The Jimmy Fund. Luke started out a bit wobbly but was breaking the speed limited after a few rounds. Joy nearly learned to pedal, but still prefers to be pushed!

Day 5 – Another Glorious Day at the Beach

Well, you guessed it, we had another glorious day at the beach. Luke and Joy started early with a jog on the beach. Daddy spotted several sting rays swimming just a few feet of the beach.

More great beach time and then back for lunch and a nap. In the afternoon Nanna and Buppa drove to 7 Mile Beach; they had a nice time but Luke, Joy, Mummy and Daddy were happy to go to the pool instead. Luke practiced his swimming doing lots of laps and even jumping in a bit. After that we headed back to the beach where Mummy treated everybody to frozen drinks. No worries, Luke and Joy’s were smoothies! 🙂

Luke and Joy played with Benjamin (3 yo from London) and Christopher (about 2 from parts unknown). At one point, it looked like Mummy was running a beach daycare. Everybody had lots of fun, it’s fun to make new friends and play with their toys.

Hammy is Nuts

Another rainy day and Mummy was working on her ‘puter again today. That means Daddy was in charge so Luke and Joy got to watch a movie. Yeah!

Over the Hedge was a fun animated story about the effects of suburban sprawl. Hmmm.

By the end of the day, Luke started to look a little like Hammy. Thinking about it, so did Daddy.
