Today ended our town’s weeklong 150th birthday party with the presentation of 3 massive American flags in Shipyard Park. Words don’t do this event justice so here are a few pictures. More in the Flickr feed on the left.
Today was the second day of the Mattapoisett 150 celebrations and Mommy, Nanna, Daddy and Luke rode bikes out to Ned’s Point for the Family picnic where the Congregational Church provided free lemonade and watermelon. Joy ride on the back of Daddy’s Bike and Buppa met us there in his Model A. We saw lots of people including Uncle Phil, who took this picture, and Auntie Sharon. We also saw the McIntires and Brenden got to ride in Buppa’s rumble seat with Luke and Joy around the Ned’s Point parking lot.
We took a break in telling our stories for a while but now we’re back and jumping right in with our latest and greatest adventures!
It’s a big today as cousin Matthew is visiting from England. Last time we saw him he was Baby Matthew, but not any longer. Matthew and his cousins splashed and stomped around all day together and got along famously. At dinnertime Joy introduced Matthew to Boston baked beans and Crazy Bug pasta. What a treat!
Luke and Joy braved the rain to ride their trikes in the Pan Massachusetts Challenge. https://kids.pmc.org/kids2006/Default.asp. This event raised money for The Jimmy Fund. Luke started out a bit wobbly but was breaking the speed limited after a few rounds. Joy nearly learned to pedal, but still prefers to be pushed!
